Met with the director of Parks and Recreation of Oak Island, NC last Friday morning and presented a grant from DIFF to their Turtle Watch Program. I talked with them in length about their program and some of the successes. The major success is they have documented over 2500 hatchling this season. I give Diff a big high five for their effort to give back to the fishing community and environment. As a result of this grant porcess, my wife and I have signed up to become an offical Turtle Watch Volunteer. As past president, board member, and presently on the Grant committee, I thank DIFF for its continous effort to go "Beyond fishing"
