Here is an idea for you.
I not only sent my 2 Senators and Rep a note asking for their position on the legislation, I also sent one to Obama and McCain as well. After all they are in the Senate and would vote on the bill. In the case of one of my Senators who is not running for reelection, I sent the two candidates trying to fill his seat a note.
In all cases I asked for a simple Yes/No answer and said that any fence sitting, I'll keep an eye on it, wishshe washshe answer would be deemed non-support. Also mentioned in all cases their position would affect my Nov 2008 vote.
I would be sure to mention the bill numbers HR 6233 and S 3113 in what you send.
